Please rest assured that this site shall only collect personal information that you knowingly and willingly provide by way of surveys, completed membership forms, and emails. It is the intent of this site to use personal information only for the purpose for which it was requested and any additional uses specifically provided on this site.
We may also gather information about the type of browser you are using, IP address or type of operating system to assist us in providing and maintaining superior quality service.
It is highly recommended and suggested that you review the privacy policies and statements of any website you choose to use or frequent as a means to better understand the way in which other websites garner, make use of and share information collected.
USE OF INFORMATION COLLECTED
A Life of Balance may collect and may make use of personal information to assist in the operation of our website and to ensure delivery of the services you need and request. At times, we may find it necessary to use personally identifiable information as a means to keep you informed of other possible products and/or services that may be available to you from https://holistichomesteaders.com. Homesteading Hippy may also be in contact with you with regards to completing surveys and/or research questionnaires related to your opinion of current or potential future services that may be offered.
Holistic Homesteaders does not now, nor will it in the future, sell, rent or lease any of our customer lists and/or names to any third parties.

Homesteading Hippy shall endeavor and shall take every precaution to maintain adequate physical, procedural and technical security with respect to our offices and information storage facilities so as to prevent any loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure or modification of the user’s personal information under our control.
MODIFICATION OR DELETION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
You can decline to submit personal information at any time. If you decline, we may not be able to continue to provide service to you. You may request deletion of your personal information by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, but in some cases, we may be required to keep your information by law. In such a case, it would no longer be active and would be kept separately in an archive.
I take the protection of your personal data very seriously. I treat your personal data confidentially and according to the German and EU General Data Protection Regulations as set out in this privacy statement.
The use of my website is normally possible without giving personal data. So far as supplying your personal data on our pages (eg name, address or e-mail addresses), this is always done on a voluntary basis wherever possible. These data will not be passed on to third parties without your prior consent. (I hate Spam!)
I would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (for example, by e-mail communication) can constitute a security risk. A complete protection of the data from access by third parties is not possible.
DATA PROCESSING ON THE SERVER
Our service provider automatically collects and stores the following information provided by the browser in server log files:
- Browser type / version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL (the last page visited)
- Hostname of the accessing computer (IP address)
- Time of server query.
The service provider cannot match these data to individual persons. The data are not combined with other data sources.
Holistic Homesteaders sends out a periodic newsletter, which contains a mixture of updates, helpful tutorials, tips, inspiration and relevant promotions for the companies it is affiliated to. Please read our disclosure policy for an explanation of how affiliate marketing works.
If you would like to receive our newsletter, we require a valid email address. Further data is not collected. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and will never pass it on to third parties.
Our newsletter may only be received under the following conditions (1) you have a valid e-mail address and (2) you consent to the newsletter being sent to the email address supplied. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to your e-mail address and for legal reasons, you will be asked to confirm your subscription. This is called the double-opt-in procedure. This confirmation e-mail is used to prove whether you, as the owner of the e-mail address, are authorized to receive our newsletter.
During the registration for the newsletter, we also store the IP address of the computer system assigned by the Internet service provider (ISP) and used by you at the time of registration, as well as the date and time of the registration. The collection of this data is necessary in order to understand the (possible) misuse of the e-mail address at a later date, and it, therefore, serves the aim of the legal protection of the controller.
The personal data collected as part of a registration for the newsletter will only be used to send our newsletter. In addition, subscribers to the newsletter may be informed by e-mail, as long as this is necessary for the operation of the newsletter service or a registration in question, as this could be the case in the event of modifications to the newsletter offer, or in the event of a change in technical circumstances.
We use MailChimp to manage our email marketing subscriber list and to send emails to our subscribers. MailChimp is a third-party provider, which may collect and process your data using industry-standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our newsletter.
You may unsubscribe from our newsletter by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ link provided at the end of each newsletter or by emailing us at email@example.com
HOmesteading Hippi’s newsletter contains so-called tracking pixels. A tracking pixel is a miniature graphic embedded in such e-mails, which are sent in HTML format to enable log file recording and analysis. This allows a statistical analysis of the success or failure of online marketing campaigns. Based on the embedded tracking pixel, Homesteading Hippy may see if and when an e-mail was opened and which links in the e-mail were clicked
Such personal data collected in the tracking pixels contained in the newsletters are stored and analyzed in order to optimize the shipping of the newsletter, as well as to adapt the content of future newsletters even better to the interests of our subscribers. These personal data will not be passed on to third parties. Data subjects are at any time entitled to revoke the respective separate declaration of consent issued by means of the double-opt-in procedure. After a revocation, these personal data will be deleted. Homesteading Hippy automatically regards a withdrawal from the receipt of the newsletter as a revocation.

If you send us inquiries through our contact form, your details will be shown in the request form including the contact details provided by you for the purpose of processing the request and for the case of connecting inquiries stored with us. We do not give this data to third parties without your prior agreement.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
